Analytical services are focused on the provision of basic NMR spectra. Chemical structure verification, purity analysis and assessment of compound stability are pre-requisites for optional subsequent proprietary bronze, silver and gold analysis.

 

Other analytical services offered include those designed to ensure quality control, such as verfication of stereochemical purity. We are able to routinely probe physicochemical properties and interactions, for example by way of temperature and salt sensitivity studies and pH titrations (for determination of pKa values).

 

 

 

 

Establishing if compounds of interest bind to biologically-relevant cations and anions is an important consideration in biochemistry. The 1D spectra illustrated below reveals the dependence of molecular structure on cation ionic radii.

 

 

In this case the molecule binds Zn2+ in vivo. It is therefore noteworthy that it was unaffected by Ca2+. SImilar experiments can be done for anions.

 

 

 

Compound solubility and the effect of non-aqueous organic solvents on conformation can also be investigated. Association experiments can be used to determine the propensity of a compound of interest to associate with itself or other drug molecules.

 

 

In this case, illustrated above, the chemical shifts of spatially diverse pharmacophoric atoms were not affected by the drug concentration. The observed fluctutation in chemical shift was within experimental error which confirms that no drug-drug interaction is occuring.
