Intended for use in the later stages of the drug-discovery pipeline, the premium-quality 3D & 4D data obtained from the Gold Service would be justifed in the disease target validation phase of discovery or in late stage candidate drug selection. For example, charachterising the natural ligand(s) of a drug target to better inform downstream processes such as chemical library design or virtual screening. A further example application of Gold standard 3D information is structural characterisation of the most promising candidates within a lead series as part of a comprehensive pre-clinical dataset.
